We’ve decided to close for the Fouth of July holiday starting Monday June 29. We will post information about reopening as soon as possible. Have a great holiday.
Because it was a holiday weekend, and it’s been a very long year, Lynn decided we should take a couple of days to recooperate and rejuvinate. We had a most generous offer from our good friends Kyle and Lorraine to use their beachhouse just outside of Jacksonville, Fl. They let us use it once before as a homebase when we attended Daytona Bike Week in 2006. It is absolutely beautiful. But because we only had a couple of days and plane fares were expensive($600 each and $275 each way for Karma the dog) we decided to go somewhere within a few hours driving. As both of our children (Jac, a junior and Clayton, a freshman) attend Indiana U., we thought of going down to the French Lick area and then bringing the boys out for Easter brunch. We had to go to plan B when we couldn’t find any decent place that could accomodate Karma the dog. Ater some searching we found Hill O’ Brown Realestate. They found us a great spot just outside of Nashville, In. Not only was it quiet and beautiful but the cabin owners were kind enough to allow Karma the dog stay also. So thank you to them and the folks at Hill O’Brown.
Anyway we had a great couple of days sightseeing and visiting Brown County Sate Park.
After church on Sunday we hopped over to Bloomington, about 20 minutes west and took the boys and Jac’s girfriend to brunch at The Scholars Inn. After a quick stop at the frat house , it was time to head on home.
Wow! That was quick. O’fame’ on Western quietly celebrated our one year anniversary on Wednesday, April 9. Because it was Easter, Passover and a full moon, we’ve decided to wait a couple of days to do something special to mark this occasion. (We are also going on 26 years in continuous operation). Lynn and I would like to say thank you for all of your past support, and especially for your continued support in these most difficult times.
Just wanted to relate a nice little story from the other day.
I was standing at the front counter when a woman walked in. (sorry, I didn’t get your name). After exchanging pleasantries, she related to me that she had gone through a lifestyle change and had lost 100 pounds. She wanted to treat herself to a pizza which she had not had in over a year. After mentioning this to her co-workers they unanimously told her that O’fame’ was the place to go. I would like to thank her co-workers for recommending us, but I would like to thank her for a nice little story. I hope you enjoyed your pizza and I wish you more success.
